Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team at ON-TIME HUMAN RESOURCES - MISSISSAUGA. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering staff consultation and grievance procedures, identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, and providing information or services to employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Provide information or services to employees, including employee assistance and counselling, to support their well-being and productivity.
  • Prepare and post notices and advertisements to attract top talent.
  • Collect and screen applicants to ensure they meet the requirements of the role.
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Review candidate inventories to ensure the best fit for the organization.
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and assess their suitability for the role.
  • Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates.
  • Notify applicants of the results of the selection process and prepare job offers.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to resolve conflicts and improve communication.
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate the termination of employment process.
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Recruit and hire staff to meet the needs of the organization.
Work Environment

The Human Resources Officer will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and resolve conflicts. The successful candidate will be a team player with efficient interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
