Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for administering personnel policies at the Cambridge Steel Mill. This includes recruitment and selection, payroll, employee benefits administration, and the coordination of training and company-sponsored employee services and activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external job postings as required.
- Oversee hourly recruitment strategies and interview processes.
- Organize employee onboarding and training for new hires.
- Support weekly payroll process.
- Process HRIS transactions for employee changes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding personnel changes, payroll, benefits and pension and other HR inquiries.
- Assist with administration of the employee benefit and pension programs.
- Assist operational leaders in understanding and implementing the provisions of the collective agreement.
- Oversee and coordinate employee engagement efforts.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education, with a concentration in Human Resources Management preferred.
- Minimum years of experience working in an HR capacity, unionized environment preferred.
- SAP and Kronos experience or payroll experience preferred.
- Bilingual, English and French preferred.
- Strong organization, time management and interpersonal skills.
