What the Position Entails:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in administering personnel policies at the Cambridge Steel Mill. This includes recruitment and selection, payroll, employee benefits administration, and the coordination of training and company-sponsored employee services and activities.
The primary objective of this function is to develop and maintain effective employee relations.
- Coordinate internal and external job postings as required, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Oversee hourly recruitment strategies and interview processes.
- Organize employee onboarding and training for new hires.
- Support weekly payroll process.
- Process HRIS transactions for employee changes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding personnel changes, payroll, benefits, and pension.
- Assist with administration of the employee benefit and pension programs.
- Assist operational leaders in understanding and implementing the provisions of the collective agreement.
- Oversee and coordinate employee engagement efforts.
What You Have to Offer:
- Post-secondary education, with a concentration in Human Resources Management preferred.
- Minimum years of experience working in an HR capacity, unionized environment preferred.
- SAP and Kronos experience or payroll experience preferred.
- Bilingual, English and French preferred.
- Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
