Job Title: Digital and Data Architect
Location: Downtown Montreal (hybrid)
Reports to: Senior Manager, Digital Transformation and Data
As a Digital and Data Architect, your primary responsibility will be to investigate, assess, and align digital and data transformation projects to fulfill the objectives of the organization. You will collaborate closely with leadership to comprehend their digital and data requirements and devise strategies and solutions aimed at boosting productivity, efficiency, and innovation through technology, while ensuring quality, integrity, and security.
Key Responsibilities:- Digital Innovation: Investigate and assess emerging digital technologies for potential implementation. Design and lead feasibility demonstration activities for AI solutions that have the potential to significantly impact organizational needs.
- Data Strategy, Business Intelligence, and Analytics: Spearhead the development and architecture of data management strategies and solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security while aligning with the overarching IT strategic roadmap. Lead research into data technologies to expedite the design, implementation, and execution of data solutions.
- Digital Strategy: Engage in the formulation and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with business objectives. Assess the organization's current digital capabilities against its digital aspirations and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside IT, finance, operations, and other departments to integrate digital and data solutions. Advocate for the adoption and integration of digital and data solutions throughout the organization to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and competitive edge. Serve as a liaison between digital and non-digital teams to ensure alignment. Promote a customer-centric approach to digital initiatives. Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience across digital channels.
- Data Governance: Assist in the development of data governance and quality policies, standards, and frameworks. Ensure that solutions comply with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
- Leadership: Collaborate with team leaders to nurture and mentor team members, identify knowledge gaps, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Act as a thought leader for operational units to help them envision a digital and data future that accelerates their ability to achieve business objectives.
- Digital Strategy Expertise: Demonstrated experience in crafting digital solutions that are pertinent to the business and drive growth while aligning with the company’s vision. Strong grasp of digital trends and emerging technologies.
- Data Management Skills: Profound knowledge of data management principles, including data quality, integration, and security. Solid understanding of data architecture, analytics, data governance, data quality, data visualization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Business Intelligence and Analytics: Proficiency in utilizing strategic intelligence tools and analytics for informed decision-making. Ability to convert data into actionable operational recommendations.
- Innovation and Technology Adoption: Proven capability to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative digital technologies. Comfortable leading organizational changes related to technology adoption. Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills, with a readiness to experiment and learn from setbacks.
- Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration: Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proficient in conveying highly technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-centric Mindset: Deliver outstanding customer experiences through digital channels. Focus on understanding and fulfilling customer needs. Self-motivated and results-oriented while adhering to deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in digital strategy, data management, or related functions.
- Proven leadership experience in successful digital and data initiatives.
- English required*, bilingual French-English is an asset.
*This requirement is necessary as part of this role, you will need to interact with clients, partners, and/or our American subsidiaries on a recurring basis both orally and in writing.
