Job Title: Senior Architect, Healthcare Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our Healthcare Infrastructure Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation phase of Provincial Healthcare Infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and implementation phase of Healthcare Infrastructure projects.
  • Support with defining project scope and gathering information from all stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Oversee programming, planning and pre-design activities.
  • Support with procurement of contractors that meet organizational requirements.
  • Ensure architectural work is complete on schedule, within budget and that quality and policies are adhered to.
  • Manage relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders to mitigate project risks and ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Continuously demonstrate leadership competencies and positively support organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Association of Architects.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or related discipline.
  • Equivalent combinations of training, education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working on all phases of architectural design projects, from concept through to completion.
  • Strong project management experience, particularly in large infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to review and red-line construction documents.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to employ creative thinking to find effective budget solutions.
