Senior Architect, Healthcare Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our Healthcare Infrastructure Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation phase of Provincial Healthcare Infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the design and implementation phase of Healthcare Infrastructure projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Support the definition of project scope and gather information from all stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Oversee programming, planning, and pre-design activities, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to ensure the project's success.
- Support the procurement of contractors that meet organizational requirements, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Ensure that architectural work is complete, on schedule, within budget, and that quality and policies are adhered to.
- Manage relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders to mitigate project risks and ensure that project objectives are met.
- Continuously demonstrate leadership competencies and positively support organizational policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with various teams and stakeholders and multiple support-service organizations to mitigate project risks and ensure all project objectives are achieved.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Association of Architects.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience may be considered.
- Experience working on all phases of architectural design projects, from concept through to completion, and strong project management experience from large infrastructure projects.
- Ability to review and red-line construction documents, both from the viewpoint of the architectural discipline and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills necessary to build and manage relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders to effectively evaluate their needs and gain buy-in to new ideas.
- Ability to employ creative thinking to find effective budget solutions that do not compromise the functionality or quality of the services and facilities.
- Project management experience within Public-Private Partnerships (P3) or healthcare facilities would be considered an asset.
- Experience negotiating claims, scope changes, and other compliance and contractual items on projects is desirable.
