Job Title: Senior Land Development Ecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Land Development Ecologist to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our environmental consulting group, you will be responsible for leading and managing environmental projects related to land development.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage environmental projects, including Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Implementation Reports, and Subwatershed Studies.
  • Develop and implement field programs for land development projects, including ecological land classification and Ontario Wetland Evaluation System assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documents.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members.
  • Participate in business development activities, including identifying market opportunities and preparing proposals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or a related environmental sciences field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on land development projects.
  • Proven project management skills, including experience leading environmental consulting projects.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
