Position Overview

Your Contribution at GEI Consultants

We are in search of experienced Project Professionals to enhance our land development and water resources division. This role will involve collaboration with a skilled team of design, management, and technical experts. The position focuses on supporting our land development engineering initiatives, particularly in the Southwestern Ontario region, which encompasses a variety of project types including residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop preliminary grading, drainage, and servicing design plans for land development projects.
  • Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including comprehensive reporting.
  • Oversee residential subdivision and site plan projects from initial design through to construction and final acceptance.
  • Conduct conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering design for various land development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with technical resources within the land development team as project requirements dictate.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawing sets, technical documentation, reports, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Serve as a liaison among staff, developers, consultants, municipalities, and review agencies to ensure design criteria are met and project scopes are clearly defined.
  • Organize and participate in construction meetings, monitoring contractor performance and project timelines.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is advantageous.
  • Experience managing residential subdivision and/or ICI developments.
  • Proficient in standard analysis software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant applications.
  • Basic understanding of site grading, servicing, and stormwater management design processes.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with proper registration and insurance.
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of motivation.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing technical reports.
  • Commitment to technical excellence and quality assurance.
