Position Overview
Your Role at GEI Consultants
We are currently seeking experienced Project Professionals to enhance our land development infrastructure and water resources division. This role involves collaborating with a skilled team of design, management, and technical experts. The position will support our land development engineering practice, focusing on various project types including residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.
Our offices are in search of a Senior Land Development Project Manager to strengthen our capabilities in land development and stormwater management system design. You will engage with multiple sectors and foster strong partnerships with clients, municipalities, planners, architects, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop preliminary grading, drainage, and servicing design plans for land development projects.
- Design, analyze, and report on stormwater management systems.
- Oversee residential subdivision and site plan developments from initial design through to construction and final acceptance.
- Conduct conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering design for various land development initiatives.
- Coordinate with technical resources within the land development team as project requirements dictate.
- Prepare and review engineering drawing sets, technical memos, reports, construction plans, and specifications.
- Act as a liaison among staff, developers, consultants, municipalities, and review agencies to confirm design criteria and address feedback.
- Organize and participate in construction meetings, monitoring contractor performance and schedules.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is preferred.
- Experience managing residential subdivision and/or ICI developments.
- Proficient in standard analysis software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant applications.
- Basic understanding of site grading, servicing, and stormwater management design processes.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with appropriate registration and insurance.
- Strong work ethic and high motivation levels.
- Experience in writing and reviewing technical reports.
- Commitment to technical excellence.
