Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lead Cook to join our event staff team at Canucks Sports & Entertainment. As a Lead Cook, you will have the opportunity to work in a premium kitchen environment, receiving valuable training and experience in food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee an assigned station in the kitchen, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and presentation.
  • Assist Chef de Parties by providing support to culinary staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
  • Work and train in the kitchen environment, developing your skills and knowledge in food preparation and presentation.
  • Formulate and implement prep lists and production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation.
  • Maintain food and kitchen safety, adhering to high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting excellent service and quality food.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays with various start times based on kitchen needs.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
  • Completion of Food Safe Certificate is an asset.
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM).
  • Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than October 2025.
