Position: Sales Center Manager

Reporting to: Regional General Manager

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia

Carrier Enterprise Canada, a subsidiary of Watsco, Inc., the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company globally, is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Sales Center Manager. This position is crucial for overseeing the distribution of renowned HVAC brands including Carrier, Bryant, and Payne, catering to both Commercial and Residential markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong knowledge of refrigeration and compressors to manage sales and profitability, ensuring operational goals are met across assigned Sales Centers.
  • Direct daily operations of the sales center to fulfill both short-term and long-term sales and profit objectives.
  • Formulate strategic business plans that align with the overall regional and corporate objectives.
  • Provide effective leadership to sales center staff, enabling them to achieve their personal and professional goals.
  • Guide and mentor employees through development initiatives, performance evaluations, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
  • Engage in the hiring and training of new sales personnel, fostering a high-performance culture within the teams to meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Conduct regular audits and business reviews utilizing business intelligence tools to uncover opportunities for enhancing sales and profitability.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Ensure financial performance by managing expenses, working capital, and inventory levels effectively.
  • Enhance customer experience through optimized E-Commerce strategies.
  • Design and implement marketing promotions and plans for the sales center.
  • Oversee all administrative functions of the sales center, including financial transactions, communication, quality initiatives, and reporting obligations.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive work environment that promotes employee growth and exceptional customer service.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences and delivering impactful presentations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a sales branch with a record of achieving business results.
  • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience, with a preference for candidates holding a college degree in business or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficient in computer applications and technology.
  • Strong product knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong computer skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members while making critical business decisions.
