Retail Store Manager Job Description

About Us: As a leading provider of outdoor accessories and products, Cap-it Burnaby is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our Burnaby location to new heights.

Job Summary: The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for planning and directing the operations of the store, managing staff, and driving sales growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales and operations leader to join our team and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management: Work with the store owners to plan and direct the operations of the store, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and achieving sales targets.
  2. Staff Management: Manage all staff members, assign duties, and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  3. Merchandise Management: Assist owners in reviewing consumer demand and potential sales volumes, order merchandise to ensure the store is fully stocked, and implement price and credit policies.
  4. Marketing and Sales: Develop marketing strategies, collaborate with vendors to procure merchandise for resale, and plan budgets to drive sales growth.
  5. Customer Service: Evaluate staff customer service in the store, advise staff on ways to improve the quality of service, and respond to customer questions and complaints.
  6. Staff Development: Direct staffing requirements regarding training and retention of staff, ensuring a high-performing team that delivers exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Completion of Secondary School.
  2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the sales industry, with at least one year of experience in operations and one year of experience in vehicle sales and/or maintenance industry.
