Position Overview

As a pivotal member of the Toromont Material Handling team, the Logistics Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of parts inventory, emergency supply orders, and the overall efficiency of branch stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal stock levels across the branch network by effectively processing orders to suppliers.
  • Handle daily emergency orders from customers, sourcing from both suppliers and internal inventory.
  • Provide estimated time of arrival (ETA) for back-ordered items when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate parts pricing records within the database, including the management of vendor price changes and resolving pricing disputes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and process surplus returns to vendors, ensuring that accounts receivable records are current.
  • Minimize inventory obsolescence through strategic inventory management and collaboration with other branches.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable/Receivable to facilitate timely payments to suppliers and manage ongoing purchase order disputes.
Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in parts administration or inventory control, complemented by relevant post-secondary education or a college diploma.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel being particularly important.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage purchase orders, maintain supply inventory, and oversee pricing databases.
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a responsible work ethic.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing pressure effectively.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exemplary customer service skills, fostering positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
