Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Aworks Tiling LTD.

Job Summary:

The Tile Setter will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles. They will mix, apply, and spread adhesives using hand trowels, prepare rough plans and sketches, and set tiles in place. The successful candidate will also align and straighten tiles, cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings, and pack grout into joints between tiles.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, repairing, and applying adhesives
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement
  • Mix and apply adhesives using hand trowels
  • Set tiles in place and align them to ensure a level and even surface
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  • Install tile strips and other flooring materials
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy materials
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment:

The Tile Setter will work on various construction sites, including residential and commercial buildings. They will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and will need to be able to lift and carry heavy materials.
