Job Title: Tile Setter

Aworks Tiling LTD. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, repairing, and applying adhesives.
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement.
  • Mix and apply adhesives to secure tiles in place.
  • Set tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Install tile strips and ensure a smooth, even finish.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, 30-hour per week position. The work language is English. The work term is on the road, with occasional travel to job sites.
