Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to clients in the community, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services to clients in their homes, schools, or workplaces
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications as required
  • Lead the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of client care and discharge
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in community health nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNA Community Health Nurses Certification or relevant applicable certification
  • Additional wound care and chronic disease management education
  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires moderate to heavy physical effort. You will be required to work in a variety of community settings under varying weather and environmental conditions.
