Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our nursing services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
- Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications as required.
- Lead and coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
- Minimum of one year current medical/surgical experience.
- Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
- Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.
- Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
This is a full-time position requiring moderate to heavy physical effort. The successful candidate will be required to maintain a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
