Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operational Risk Analyst to join our team at RBC Wealth Management Canada and RBC Global Asset Management (GAM). As a key member of our Operational Risk management program, you will be responsible for providing expertise, advice, and counsel to management and WM Canada and GAM colleagues to enhance their ability to anticipate and manage operational risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze operational risk data to identify discrepancies or issues and propose strategies for improved senior management reporting and risk oversight.
  • Assist in the preparation of data-driven risk assessments to inform decision-making of Business Senior leadership.
  • Support the performance of control assessments and drive innovation in control design and control testing methods, working with control owners to leverage automation and data to modernize controls testing.
  • Develop expertise in products or services and competence in tools and business processes used in the day-to-day activities of the team.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a University Degree program with a focus on Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Interest in operational risk management and regulatory compliance within the financial services industry.
