Job Summary

As a Risk Analyst at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational activities of a business unit. You will apply your experience and working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets related to risk sensitivities for the bank's interest rate and FX business lines.
  • Prepare comprehensive reconciliation reports between current and modernized risk generation infrastructure.
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing testing processes and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement automated tools for testing accuracy and completeness of risk measures.
  • Liaise with market risk managers and project teams to provide insights on analysis and testing output.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian postsecondary institution with a focus on finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Strong knowledge in Financial Instruments and Derivatives Products (Fixed Income, Currencies) and associated Greeks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
