Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a pioneering leader with a deep-rooted passion for urban planning and a strong background in policy formulation. You should possess a solid history of accomplishments in the Ontario area and be knowledgeable about both provincial and federal planning regulations. As the Chief Urban Planning Officer, you will oversee the Urban Planning division, championing strategies that prioritize sustainable, innovative, and community-focused urban design.

Essential Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Urban Geography, Urban Planning, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture
  2. Master's Degree in Urban Planning
  3. Over 10 years of experience in an urban planning context, encompassing both private and public sectors
  4. At least 5 years of leadership experience in Urban Planning and Design
  5. Strong technical acumen and design proficiency, particularly in a consulting capacity
  6. A proven portfolio showcasing urban planning projects, especially within Ontario
  7. Expertise in policy development, planning methodologies, and managing development and permit procedures
  8. An entrepreneurial mindset with a meticulous approach to project management
  9. High energy, innovative thought processes, and a dynamic approach to design and planning
  10. Exceptional presentation and communication abilities
