IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are in search of a strategic leader who possesses a deep passion for urban planning and excels in policy formulation. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in the Ontario region, demonstrating expertise in navigating both provincial and federal planning regulations. As the Principal, Planning, you will lead the Urban Planning department, implementing strategies that prioritize sustainable, innovative, and community-focused urban design.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Urban Geography, Urban Planning, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture
  2. Master's Degree in Urban Planning
  3. Over 10 years of experience in urban planning, encompassing both private and public sectors
  4. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the Urban Planning and Design field
  5. Strong technical knowledge and design proficiency, particularly in a consulting context
  6. Proven portfolio showcasing urban planning projects, especially in Alberta
  7. Expertise in policy development and adeptness in managing development and permit processes
  8. Entrepreneurial mindset with a meticulous approach to project management
  9. High energy, innovative thinking, and a dynamic approach to design and planning
  10. Exceptional presentation and communication skills
