Role Overview

As a Mechanical or Electrical Technologist at Meridia Recruitment Solutions, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing and organizing the information needed to bring a customer's home to life. Using AutoCAD and Revit, you will create designs that comply with relevant codes and client requests.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Architectural team to understand customers' needs and prepare necessary drawings, specifications, and details for fabrication.
  • Conduct code analysis, perform calculations, and create specifications and detailed drawings for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Manage project files for distribution to stakeholders and ensure accurate information for production.
  • Work with designers and departments to improve the accuracy and efficiency of drawings, details, and other information.
  • Provide technical assistance to sales, procurement, factory, service, and other departments as required.

Your Qualifications

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise and creativity in a supportive and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, with a keen understanding of systems and energy efficiency in residential construction.

Requirements

  • Training or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or a relevant field.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as energy efficiency as it relates to residential construction.
  • Knowledge of building, plumbing, energy, and electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience with estimating and quantity take-offs.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office suite with experience using Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other graphic and design software.
