We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Designer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex industrial piping and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Apply your design skills to prepare or coordinate the preparation of contract drawings, sketches, and concept designs through to construction.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with mechanical group members, other Stantec disciplines, and clients to achieve project success, acting as a project team member or project lead.
  • Project Management: Successfully carry out assignments on project design teams and manage and lead mechanical aspects of a project.
  • Communication and Technical Expertise: Effectively communicate with other team members in the department or project team and provide technical expertise, mentoring, and support to team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with various design software, including AutoCAD, Plant3D, Cadworx, Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, AvevaE3D, and MicroStation.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in the industrial consulting industry.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Strong collaborative skills while working with a single or multi-discipline team and strong leadership skills, with proven ability to lead project teams and activities.
  • Communication and Technical Expertise: Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Education and Experience: Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
