Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Accounting Policy team within the Enterprise Controllership division, the successful candidate will oversee all facets of hedge accounting in accordance with IFRS standards. This role demands a deep understanding of financial instruments and accounting regulations, acting as a key advisor to various business units regarding their hedging methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive hedge accounting processes under IFRS 9 / IAS 39 for the organization.
  • Provide strategic guidance to Corporate Treasury and Capital Markets, ensuring compliance with hedge accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain transparency and uphold shareholder interests.
  • Prepare and deliver timely reports related to hedge accounting, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and compliance through process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity within the team, aligning with organizational values.
  • Support the development of financial statements to ensure adherence to international reporting standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on accounting policies and regulations, influencing strategic decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify emerging trends and inform decision-making processes.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to resolve strategic challenges and optimize accounting policy execution.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • Preferred qualifications include MBA, CA, CFA, CGA, or CMA.
  • In-depth knowledge of SOX, IFRS, and GAAP standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and influence skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex situations and drive data-driven decision-making.
