Senior Manager, Derivative Hedge Qualifications

This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong understanding of hedge accounting and financial products. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering system enhancements and upgrades, while ensuring that all changes are thoroughly tested and implemented.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of professionals in delivering system enhancements and upgrades, ensuring that all changes are thoroughly tested and implemented.
- Work closely with IT support teams to ensure that proposed changes to the Hedge Accounting & Qualification System (HAQS) and its feeder systems do not have an adverse impact on the hedge qualification and P&L volatility.
- Coordinate various initiatives and projects from a system perspective, including HAQS adaptation due to enhancement/changes from upstream/downstream systems or changes driven by market.
- Manage direct reports by establishing performance objectives, defining roles & expectations, measuring and providing timely feedback.
- Coordinate smart automation, including EUC automation and system-related controls such as access control.
- Motivating, coaching, curious, analytical, and collaborative problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.
- Proactive and creative, with strong, proven ability to plan and manage competing priorities.
- Detailed-oriented with proven ability to analyze and document complex systems.
- Solid knowledge of hedge accounting, finance, and financial products, including various derivatives.
- Post-secondary degree in Finance/Accounting/business/Computer science with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Knowledge of the Bank's operations, procedures, HAQS, PEAK, JIRA, PeopleSoft EGL, OBI, Excel, Power Point.
