Island Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth execution of contracts across various departments within Island Health. Your expertise in procurement, negotiation, and contract administration will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization's interests and fostering successful partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full contract lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for contractual agreements.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors and suppliers, maximizing value for Island Health.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all contracts and related correspondence.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Health Administration or Business Administration.
  • Five years of recent experience in procurement, negotiation, and contract execution within a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of contracting law, risk management principles, and insurance regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
