Key Responsibilities:The Senior Financial Consultant will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing robust relationships with clients. Responsibilities include:
- Investment servicing, retention, and promoting portfolio growth.
- Managing and expanding a dedicated client portfolio while crafting comprehensive financial strategies and delivering exceptional client service.
- Collaborating closely with the Sales Development VP, product teams, and investment management to implement strategies for enduring client relationships.
- Providing regular updates to clients regarding investment strategies, capital markets, and various aspects of their financial requirements.
- Developing investment and financial planning strategies tailored to clients' portfolio management and long-term financial objectives.
- Utilizing our financial planning software to create plans addressing identified client needs and aspirations.
- Continuously reviewing and updating client plans as significant changes occur throughout various life stages.
- Ensuring clients receive appropriate service levels, including meetings, planning, reporting, and prompt responses to inquiries.
- Proactively reaching out to existing clients to educate them on investment strategies, products, and services to facilitate portfolio growth.
- Identifying, executing, and following up on opportunities to gather additional client assets while engaging in client-centered discussions.
- Mentoring junior financial consultants to cultivate a development pipeline.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Approximately 7+ years of experience in investment management and advising retail and high-net-worth clients.
- Strong investment management and financial planning expertise.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
- Additional qualifications such as CFP or MBA are advantageous.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Representative (RR) and authorized to sell both mutual funds and securities.
- Registered as a Portfolio Manager (PM) or the ability to obtain such registration is a plus.
