About the Role

Vancity is a member-owned credit union that operates on the principles of inclusion and social justice. As a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping the organization achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Analysis: Establish a business partner relationship with senior leaders to provide financial reporting and analysis, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain key revenue and expense drivers, providing forecasting, planning, and analytical support.
  • Relationship Building: Act as a concierge to broker services from the Finance division to senior leaders, identifying needs and opportunities.
  • Financial Risk Management: Integrate risk management processes to ensure the ongoing identification, monitoring, and assessment of risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a senior consultant level or higher.
  • Business acumen in the context of the financial industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of related finance concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Planning and coordination skills.
  • Research and analytical skills.
  • Results-oriented and analytical mindset.
