Job Overview:

Position: HR Generalist

Location: Various locations across Canada

Position Type: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:


• Provide comprehensive expertise across all areas of Human Resources, focusing on employee relations.


• Serve as a strategic partner to supervisors and managers on HR and employee relations issues, offering support and coaching to ensure compliance and consistency.


• Utilize HR knowledge to identify best practices, implement innovative enhancements to existing programs, and pursue efficiencies that align with organizational strategies. Address associate inquiries according to internal customer service standards.


• Offer guidance and recommendations for problem resolution, redirecting or escalating issues as necessary.


• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition in the recruitment and selection process, ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable legislation. Work with key stakeholders to fulfill staffing plans and complete necessary documentation.


• Conduct new hire orientation sessions to facilitate successful onboarding, communicate policies, and follow up to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.


• Provide coaching to management on reinforcing goals and addressing employee performance or behavior issues in accordance with established policies.


• Support short-term and long-term disability processes as needed, coordinating with benefits providers when required.


• Assist in the annual performance management process, including goal setting and coaching, while ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.


• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HRIS data submitted.


• Engage employees through participation in various engagement activities.

Qualifications/Skills:


• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.


• Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources.


• CPHR designation or equivalent is an asset.


• Strong knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Local laws and regulations.


• Proficient in MS Office Suite, HRIS systems, recruitment platforms, and social media.
