Farm Laborer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Laborer to join our team at CN Produce Inc. as a key member of our agricultural operations.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from competing with our produce.
- Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots to ensure optimal quality and efficiency.
- Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to maximize market value.
- Hand harvest vegetables and other crops to ensure they are picked at the optimal time for quality and flavor.
- Pick row and orchard crops, including potatoes and other vegetables, to meet the demands of our customers.
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure healthy growth and high yields.
- Weeding is a critical task to prevent weeds from competing with our crops for water, nutrients, and light.
- Clean the work area regularly to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry as needed.
As a Farm Laborer at CN Produce Inc., you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform various tasks.
Requirements- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Availability for shift or on-call work as needed.
- Current legal ability to work in Canada.
- Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
As a Farm Laborer at CN Produce Inc., you will work in a rural area with exposure to various weather conditions, including wet, damp, dusty, and hot environments. You will be required to work outdoors and may be exposed to noise and other environmental factors.
