About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Alexandra Hotel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, ensuring that they are aligned with the hotel's overall strategy and goals.

Supervise Staff

Supervise and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Negotiate with Suppliers

Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for the hotel, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money.

Negotiate with Clients

Negotiate with clients to secure bookings and ensure that their needs are met.

Perform Front Desk Duties

Perform front desk duties, including checking in and out guests, handling customer complaints, and responding to queries.

Arrange for Maintenance

Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that their issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that they are fair, reasonable, and meet the needs of the hotel.

Work Term and Hours

This is a permanent position, working 35-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
