Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Operator to join our team in Ajax, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to load and move vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a loader to load and move vehicles to designated areas.
  • Remove rows of vehicles to ensure access and maintenance of the yard.
  • Crush vehicles as required.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Mark vehicles for inventory and control purposes.
  • Load crushed vehicles into delivery trucks.
  • Perform forklift tasks as needed.
  • Assist customers with transporting heavy parts.
  • Perform laborer tasks when loader tasks are completed.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong safety record and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Conscientious of equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Ability to concentrate and focus on tasks.
  • Flexibility to work in various climates.
  • Valid forklift operator card and loader operator training (assets).
