Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Operator to join our team in Ajax, ON. As a key member of our yard operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to load and move vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe yard operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a loader to load and move vehicles to designated areas
- Remove rows of vehicles to ensure access and maintenance of the yard
- Crush vehicles as required
- Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance
- Mark vehicles for inventory and control purposes
- Load crushed vehicles into delivery trucks
- Perform forklift tasks as needed
- Assist customers with transporting heavy parts
- Perform laborer tasks when loader tasks are completed
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong safety record and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing weather conditions
- Valid forklift operator card and loader operator training (assets)
