We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at RSR Road Surface Recycling Limited. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in our road surface recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions in heavy equipment, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
- Order and Maintain Inventory: Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for repairs and maintenance.
- Adjust and Repair Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including adjusting and replacing defective parts as needed.
- Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Test and Verify Repairs: Conduct thorough tests to ensure that repaired equipment is functioning properly and meets manufacturer specifications.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Work Setting: Willing to work in various locations, including outdoors and in a fast-paced production environment
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, bend, and work in a physically demanding environment
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, reliable, team player, organized, and willing to travel
