Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Operator to join our team in Ajax, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, loading and moving vehicles, and ensuring the maintenance and servicing of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and maneuver heavy equipment to load and move vehicles to appropriate areas.
  • Remove rows of vehicles and ensure access and maintenance of the yard for customers.
  • Crush vehicles and load crushed vehicles into delivery trucks.
  • Perform inspections prior to use of all equipment and ensure the maintenance and servicing of the loader and press.
  • Mark cars for control and inventory purposes.
  • Perform forklift tasks when necessary and help customers transport heavy parts to their vehicle.
  • Perform labourer tasks when all loader tasks are completed.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive and operate a heavy vehicle.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Patient and flexible.
  • Team player.
  • Conscientious of equipment.
  • Good ability to concentrate.
  • Ability to adapt to different climate.
  • Valid forklift operator card (asset).
  • Loader operator trainings (asset).
