We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at RSR Road Surface Recycling Limited. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions in heavy equipment, and perform routine inspections to prevent downtime.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including adjusting and replacing defective parts, and ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Order Parts and Maintain Inventory: Order necessary parts and maintain inventory levels to ensure that equipment is always available for use.
- Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on heavy equipment, including documentation of work completed and parts used.
- Test and Verify Equipment: Test repaired equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Work Setting: Willing to travel to various locations as required.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, reliable, team player, and organized.
