SP Data Digital is seeking a Bilingual Life Insurance Consultant to enhance our Retail Distribution division. The Consultant will focus on client retention and sales by fostering strong relationships with clients, crafting financial strategies, offering financial guidance, and recommending suitable products that align with customer insurance and investment requirements.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Representing the SP Data Digital brand to drive sales and ensure the retention of existing business in the insurance and investment sectors.
  • Conducting regular meetings with clients to thoroughly understand their unique financial and insurance needs, advising on financial planning, and promoting the benefits of our investment and insurance products.
  • Meeting established sales and retention targets within SP Data Digital's portfolio, as well as in personal and professional networks.
  • Recommending and placing life and health insurance products, including investment solutions that address client needs.
  • Initiating contact with current and prospective clients, using a consultative approach to identify their financial needs and evaluate their existing product portfolio; conducting regular reviews and adjusting their financial plans as necessary.
  • Onboarding clients acquired through business block acquisitions and reviewing previous advisor records to ensure compliance and adherence to business standards.
  • Ensuring effective communication and professional service to clients, creating a positive customer experience that promotes retention and sales.
  • Utilizing digital platforms to facilitate product placements during client meetings.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of SP Data Digital's life and health insurance and investment products for effective client consultations.
  • Leveraging cross-channel sales opportunities by proactively referring business to the appropriate channels.
  • Staying informed about current market trends, competitive landscape, and competitor product offerings.
  • Building and maintaining a solid understanding of SP Data Digital's defined sales processes and practices for insurance and investment products.

We are looking for candidates who possess

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • 0-5 years of demonstrated experience in direct customer service, client relations, and sales within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and AMF (Quebec) certification, along with life insurance licensing as mandated by applicable provincial regulators.
  • Experience in a digital work environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Well-developed organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discretion, diplomacy, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • A university degree or a college diploma in a relevant field.
  • For positions open to applicants across Canada, proficiency in English is required for communication with clients, advisors, or employees nationwide.
