We are seeking a skilled Clinician, Mental Health to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Acute Care department, you will provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work under the administrative direction of the Team Lead/Clinical Practice Lead/Designate to provide high-quality care to clients in hospital, residential, or community settings. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to support clients' recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients
  • Assess client needs and develop care plans in collaboration with the inter-professional clinical team
  • Implement interventions to support clients' recovery and well-being, including harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Registration number (if applicable) and any supporting documents regarding education/qualifications for this position
