Job Summary

The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining high-quality food standards, managing kitchen operations, and supervising a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and menu items.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook food to high standards, including specialty dishes and menu items.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu changes and promotions.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
