Job SummaryThe Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining high-quality food standards, managing kitchen operations, and supervising a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Develop and implement new cooking techniques and menu items.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
- Prepare and cook food to high standards, including specialty dishes and menu items.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu changes and promotions.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
