Job Title: Assistant General Manager

About the Role:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a key member of our restaurant management team, responsible for assisting the General Manager in executing complex restaurant operations. This role ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, and operates to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day activities of associates, including supervising and training.
  • Interview and hire job candidates, make decisions on promotions, terminations, and other status changes.
  • Monitor financial and operational data to meet unit goals and assign associates accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including diversity and inclusion, and adult beverage procedures.
  • Assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Actively ensure associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods.
  • Ensure display areas are clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
  • Operate cash registers and maintain proper security of cash.
  • Monitor compliance with wellness and safety procedures and report any concerns to the General Manager.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including opening, busy dayparts, and closing.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
