The Role: Payroll and Benefits Manager

As our Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our firm's payroll and benefits programs. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, as well as administering employee benefits plans.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing payroll and benefits services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Payroll, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with UKG Pay/HR software is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
