**Role Overview:**
The Director of Laboratory Operations is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing all operational facets of our laboratory services. This position is crucial in driving Dynacare's mission to be the leading provider of biomedical laboratory solutions in the region.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and manage the Laboratory Operations in Winnipeg, ensuring optimal performance through effective leadership and mentorship.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans that align with the divisional objectives.
- Provide cross-functional leadership and support within the operational framework.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations to shape strategic and operational plans.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure operational excellence.
- Establish a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Extensive knowledge of laboratory operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong operational and financial management skills.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in laboratory management.
- Ability to develop and execute business plans effectively.
- Proficient in project management and governance.
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to build and manage effective teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to navigate a dynamic, multi-functional team environment.
