Position Overview
The Culinary Specialist is dedicated to providing exceptional nourishment to our guests, ensuring they have the energy to fully enjoy their mountain adventures. This role encompasses daily kitchen sanitation tasks, alongside radio communication duties.
The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for preparing packed lunches for our ski programs, as well as crafting pastries and hors d'oeuvres for après ski gatherings when guests and staff are present in the lodge. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about food quality, creativity, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and package lunches for both the field program and lodge guests.
- Bake high-quality pastries for in-lodge and lunch services.
- Create delightful après ski snacks.
- Engage in menu planning, ordering, and inventory management as needed.
- Procure food and supplies as required.
- Attend all relevant staff and departmental meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards.
- Ensure safe and efficient food handling and meal presentation.
- Manage kitchen inventory and dry storage effectively.
- Perform dishwashing duties throughout each shift.
- Conduct daily deep cleaning tasks in the kitchen area.
- Assist fellow lodge team members as necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
- Support guests in the field as required.
Qualifications
- Food Safe Certification is required.
- A diploma or certificate from a culinary program is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in diverse settings.
- Experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining is preferred.
