In this pivotal role, the Governance Manager operates under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to facilitate and enhance the operations of the Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI). This position is essential for coordinating the activities of the Annual General Meeting members, Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Board Committees, and associated organizations.
The Governance Manager's responsibilities encompass meticulous planning, project oversight, financial stewardship, governance education, and administrative support, ensuring that timely and effective decisions are made during meetings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing ongoing governance orientation and training to relevant individuals and boards.
- Advising the CEO on best practices for meeting facilitation, governance, and training.
- Traveling extensively to document resolutions and minutes during meetings across the region.
Qualifications:
- A college diploma in office administration or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in managing financial resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Adobe software, and iPad.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Inuktut and English.
