Job Summary:
The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Federal Contributions and Relations to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for developing, negotiating, and implementing agreements between the Government of Nunavut and the Federal Government and third parties.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and negotiate agreements with the Federal Government and third parties
- Manage and implement federal funding programs
- Provide strategic analysis and advice to capital planning decision makers
- Coordinate and obtain input from staff across the Department of Community and Government Services
- Present results of work to Senior Managers and Deputy Minister oversight committees
- Recognized relevant degree
- Five (5) years of financial management experience, including contracts and financial analysis
- One (1) year of progressive supervisory or management experience
- CPA designation considered an asset
- Fluency in two or more of Nunavut's official languages
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
- Competitive salary range: $117,746 to $133,647 per year
- Northern Allowance: $16,008 per year
