Regional Nursing Practice Consultant

- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN.
- For positions supporting NSWOC nurses, candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and possess Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence, or have completed the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Program or hold a Master's in Wound Healing.
- Completion of post-secondary courses in Adult Education, Process Improvement, and/or Change Management.
- A minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in adult education, quality enhancement, and/or policy and procedural development.
- Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities and promoting Indigenous relations, emphasizing Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and standards governing programs.
- Awareness of current, evidence-based issues and standards in gerontology.
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor staff and colleagues.
- Capacity to work autonomously.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and instructional skills.
- Effective communication skills with clients, families, physicians, and colleagues within Island Health and external organizations.
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
- Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
