Position Overview:

As a Practical Nursing Specialist at Baptist Housing, your primary responsibilities will include managing medication distribution, providing wound care, and conducting resident evaluations. You will employ a wellness-oriented care model aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents while supporting their autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of medications to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify their healthcare needs.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses on complex cases to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Engage in effective communication with residents and their families to foster a supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records using advanced healthcare systems.
  • Participate in wellness initiatives that promote a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives.
  • Valid First Aid and Food Safe Certificates.
