Position Overview:
As a Practical Nursing Specialist at Baptist Housing, your primary responsibilities will include managing medication distribution, providing wound care, and conducting resident evaluations. You will employ a wellness-oriented care model aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents while supporting their autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of medications to ensure safety and compliance.
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify their healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses on complex cases to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Engage in effective communication with residents and their families to foster a supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records using advanced healthcare systems.
- Participate in wellness initiatives that promote a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives.
- Valid First Aid and Food Safe Certificates.
