Position Overview:
As a Practical Nursing Specialist at Baptist Housing, your primary responsibility will be to manage medication distribution, provide wound management, and conduct resident evaluations. You will implement the wellness care model to enhance the quality of life for residents while promoting their autonomy. In a team-oriented setting, you will engage in detailed care planning, assess service effectiveness, and work alongside Registered Nurses for more intricate cases. Your strong communication abilities and empathetic care approach will ensure that residents feel respected and understood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor residents' health status.
- Conduct thorough assessments and document resident care accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize care strategies.
- Participate in wellness initiatives to foster a supportive community.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Active membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives.
- Current certifications in First Aid and Food Safety.
