C&A Group is a leading provider of custom metal fabrication and welding services in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team of experienced professionals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to work on a variety of projects, including food and beverage process equipment, material handling systems, and structural steel fabrication. The ideal candidate will have experience with metal forming equipment, such as brake, shear, and plate rollers, and be able to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with and take part in all C&A health and safety program requirements.
  • Comply with all Provincial Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Comply with all Prime Contractor Health and Safety requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Journeypersons shall possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter-Provincial red seal.
  • Apprentices shall possess the education level (High School Diploma) as mandated by regulatory authorities.
  • Pass CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) welding tests.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Work to close tolerances.
  • Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components using processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
  • Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and laws.
  • Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e., fractions, measuring and geometry).
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Determine welding procedures to minimize distortion.
  • Operate trade-related equipment.
