Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled Metal Fabricators/Welders to join our team in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business group. As a Metal Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Complying with and participating in all UpSourced HR health and safety program requirements
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications
  • Using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components
  • Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Determining welding procedures to minimize distortion
  • Operating trade-related equipment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Journeypersons shall possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter-Provincial red seal
  • Apprentices shall possess the education level (High School Diploma) as mandated by regulatory authorities
  • Pass CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) welding tests
  • Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and laws
  • Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e., fractions, measuring and geometry)

Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous fabrication experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel
  • Experience with metal forming equipment such as Brake, Shear and Plate Rollers
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Canada
